    Angel Falls and Kavac

    The Angel and Kavac tour brings its participants through Venezuela’s beautiful and pristine Canaima National Park to view the natural resources in the area. Tour participants will get the opportunity to view Sapito and Angel falls along with the surrounding dense tropical vegetation which is a feature of the landscape within Canaima National Park. This tour was designed for travelers of all abilities and our guides lead at a pace that caters to the needs of each individual tour participant. This tour is a perfect opportunity for people to see the vastness and diversity of Venezuela’s flora and fauna.


    Itinerario

    Day 1: Arrival at Canaima You will be met at the airport and transferred from Caracas to Puerto Ordaz, which takes around 50 minutes, where you will board a charter flight in a Cessna 206 to Canaima; the flight takes one hour. We will meet you in Canaima and transfer you to the camp. After touring Canaima's lagoon, we’ll head back to the lodging area. In the evening you’ll have the opportunity to rest and enjoy views of the lagoon; on a clear night you can enjoy gazing at the stars in the Southern Hemisphere sky. Overnight in hammocks. (–,L,D)

    Day 2: Carrao River – Angel Falls After a light early morning breakfast we depart at 0600hrs. We sail along the Carao River for 3.5hrs before joining the Churum River where our expedition starts. Arriving at Ratoncito Island we will have lovely views of the Angel Falls; after another hour's walk we'll stop for an hour at the base of the falls. Dinner is served in the lodging area. (B,L,D)

    Day 3: Kavac Tour including Overflight Transfer to Canaima’s Airport to start the Kavac tour. After a thrilling overflight through Devil’s Canyon in a private Cessna, we’ll land on the isolated dirt strip at the Pemon indigenous outpost of Kavac. The amazing gorge at Kavac was carved out by the waterfalls on the slopes of the flat-topped mountains over the centuries. The rocks of these mountains are between 1,800 and 3,600 million years old and considered the oldest on the planet. Afterwards, head back to Canaima and the lodging area for your overnight stay.     Day 4: Departure Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the shores of Laguna Canaima before being transferred to the airport. (B,–,–)
