Community work

Besides the support given by Natoura to different ecological and environmentalist organizations, we carry out our own community work. Aiming to help maintaining parks, gardens, and natural areas for the enjoyment of locals and visitors, we do our best to take part in environmental projects, mostly those that involve the participation of children and teenagers to raise their environmental awareness.

Guardaparquitos

Among the activities we have taken part in this year, we can count the donation of uniforms to children part of the project Guardaparquitos (little rangers, 30 children) at El Morro Brigade. The donation was carried out within the frame of El Morro Project, at the Sierra Nevada National Park.

World Challenge

Likewise, in July 2011 we involved a group of boys and girls, part of the program of educational expeditions for young people offered by the company World Challenge from the UK, in an environmental activity. Within the frame of this program, 20 British young people took part in the restoration of recreational areas at the Sierra Nevada National Park, in La Mucuy, Merida state. Among the activities they carried out, we can mention the repair of park’s tables, ads, walkways, and nursery. Natoura and World Challenge have worked together for several years now, bringing young people for educational expeditions in Venezuela.
